Starlight Arts provides work placements and/or programmes to gain hands on experience and develop your knowledge of working with learning disabilities and mental health through the use of the arts. Starlight Arts works closely with local colleges, schools, job centre and employment agencies to provide an opportunity for students at school or in sixth form, college, university and in adulthood to gain an insight to what a career working with adults with additional needs may be like. Individuals will be mentored and encouraged to ask questions, to help to understand more about Starlight Arts. An opportunity will be provided to get to know the history and experience what an actual job would be like at Starlight Arts. Our programme will provide those joining starlight arts with an insight into a potential career for the future and help them make choices for further educational training. During the work experience/placement programme we offer real work experience, feedback on how they can develop, tips on recruitment and the opportunity to meet other Starlight Arts staff.
